Suggestion: phrase search

Perhaps the " Minimum word length in order to be indexed" setting should not apply to the "phrase" search type. It could be a part of a name or title.

It doesn't.
The full text of the page is stored in the links table. When a phrase search is performed, Sphider looks for that string in the full text and not a chain of individual keywords.
