Using the index that I build for the site, and doing a search for all images (*), the first ten results show these files in sphider/tmp:

The first 10 files listed are the retrieved images, and the next 10 are the thumbnail versions of the same. The number after "thumb_" is system generated.
When the next page of results is prepared, all these files are deleted. That's how it is SUPPOSED to work, anyway.
What I see with what you posted, these are text files, configuration files, object files, lock files... but no image files!
What the he.. double-hockey-stick?
A clue might be the the unlink files have a path "/tmp/---". I would expect a (relative) path of "tmp/---" or "/usr/local/
www.kasdivi.com/sphider/tmp/---" (full path).
Thinking as I type... is it possible that somehow the system /tmp directory is being accessed? Look in your /tmp (the one off of root, /) and see if those file names exist there.
If that is the case, we have to figure out why that is being referenced and not the (relative to sphider) "./tmp". Looking at the code, the ./tmp should be the one referenced, but your errors are not showing any image files...
Th8s is most curious. If these were truly the correct files (image files), then I would suspect a permissions problem, but this! If somehow /tmp is being referenced, I could understand not having permission!
Let's confirm just WHERE these files reside, then go from there.
