Re: ssl redirect
Okay. This has been an adventure! I finally got CentOS 7 set up and working in virtualbox. Took a few tries to get the configuration right, but got it running. Many years ago, I was a system administrator on a couple UNIX System V boxes. More recently, I have become comfortable using Ubuntu. CentOS ...

Re: Font error
Never encountered this myself, but I'm guessing (and it's a wild guess!) the pdf was created from an autocad file. A document reader should be able to interpret and display the contents correctly, but the meta information for pdttotext to interpret the unicode may be missing.

Re: ssl redirect
It's going to take me a bit, but I'm going to try to get CentOS running in VirtualBox so I can test that. Another differing factor is Drupal, something with which I have ZERO experience. I'll post when I have some results. Changing the subject to work-a rounds... You could try spidering your site fr...

Re: ssl redirect
I tested https://www.bleepingcomputer.com, as you did. Again, Ubuntu 18.04, MySQL, Sphider 2.0.;0c-PDO. Where you got "NO HOST", I got: [Back to admin] Spidering https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ Disallowed files and directories in robots.txt: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/cgi-bin/ http...

Re: ssl redirect
Scenario 1: Sphider 2.0.0c-PDO, MySql, PHP7, Apache, Windows 7 - Successfully able to index both http://www.okanoganpud.org and http s ://www.okanoganpud.org - Logs both times start with a listing of disallowed files and directories from robots.txt Scenario 2: Sphider 2.0.0c-PDO, MySql, PHP7, Apache...

Re: ssl redirect
I went to my Ubuntu box, using 2.0.0.c-pdo, and used settings like yours. This time, I received very DIFFERENT results! First, defining the site as https, I got this: 1.png Then, defining the site simply as http, I received this: 2.png In the first instance, a page was found but contained "less...

Re: ssl redirect
I initially indexed, successfully, https://www.okanoganpud.org/. Since I had SPECIFIED "https" when adding the site, I thought that might be the solution. So I tried http://www.okanoganoud.org (no https), expecting it to fail. Instead, this is what I got: 1.gif Well, that isn't what I was ...

Re: ssl redirect
On the Sphider settings, Sites tab, are you specifying the URL as "http://" and relying on the redirect, or are you specifying "https://"? The former could well return "no host found". The latter should work just fine. Just as a test, in a browser if you visit the site ...

Re: Search Issues 2.0
Just judging by what I see in your post, is it possible that "enloe" only appears in pdf documents? IF that is the case, two things must be true. First, indexing of pdf files must be enabled in settings. Second, a pdf to text converter must be present and settings must point to the correct...

Re: Udated files in 2.0.0a
The ONLY file changed is search.php.
There is only ONE line changed in search.php and if you do not use the "Image search" you don't even need that! A problem with the image search was found during testing, but the fix somehow never made it into the initial download.
